MoveEV Joins the Black Fleet Network: Continuing Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

MoveEV is thrilled to announce our membership in the Black Fleet Network™ (BFN)! This collaboration marks a significant step in our journey towards fostering a more inclusive and equitable future in the fleet industry.

Ensuring Inclusivity in the Electric Vehicle Revolution

The electric vehicle (EV) revolution is transforming the automotive industry, presenting vast opportunities for innovation, growth, and sustainability. However, to truly harness the potential of this revolution, it is crucial to ensure that the opportunities within the industry are accessible to all. Our membership in the Black Fleet Network is a proactive step towards addressing disparities and empowering diverse communities within the EV sector.

Why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Matter

At MoveEV, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are not just ethical imperatives but also essential drivers of innovation and success. A diverse workforce brings together a wide range of perspectives and ideas, fostering creativity and problem-solving. Equity ensures that everyone has access to the same opportunities, allowing talent to flourish regardless of background. Inclusion creates an environment where all individuals feel valued and respected, which is vital for achieving our mission of democratizing access to electric vehicles.

Our Collaboration with the Black Fleet Network

By collaborating with BFN, we aim to:

Bridge the Gap in Internship Opportunities: Internships play a critical role in shaping careers and providing young professionals with valuable experience. However, disparities exist. Did you know that 74% of all college student internships are occupied by White students, while only 6% are occupied by Black students? We invite our network to support the Black Fleet Network's mission by becoming an internship partner. By doing so, we can help create more equitable opportunities for Black students and foster a more diverse talent pipeline in the EV industry. Learn more about the BFN internship program.

Encourage Membership and Support: BFN offers various membership types, including a "Defenders Membership" for allies who are not Black, African-American, or Black African but who want to support this important organization. By becoming a member, businesses and individuals can actively contribute to driving the future of electric mobility and ensuring access to opportunities for all. We invite our friends and partner organizations to join BFN and be a part of this transformative movement!

MoveEV encourages other businesses to join us in this crucial initiative. By supporting the Black Fleet Network, you are not only advocating for diversity and equity but also investing in the future of the EV industry. Together, we can overcome the legacy of inequality and build a brighter, more inclusive future.

Let's continue working together to ensure that the benefits of the electric vehicle revolution are accessible to everyone, creating a world where opportunities are truly equal.
